Now officially 'over the hill', I have been racing and sailing yachts for around 26 years now. I hate getting wet and last years Laser sailing in Turkey merely confirmed to me that I'd still rather be tanking around the cans in something big and beamy than climbing on to the centreboard time and time again... The high points in my sailing career would be representing Team GBR in the Commodores Cup in 2008 and taking part in the 2011 Round the Island Race where we were met with gusts of 28kts and huge swells at the Needles and St Catherines Point which would be thrilling enough without being on a Hunter 707 Sportsboat!
